In our work together, I draw from a variety of approaches to support meaningful and lasting change. This includes helping you identify strengths, clarify goals, and take practical steps forward; exploring motivation and gently working through ambivalence; understanding how your body responds to stress and creating space for regulation; and noticing patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be keeping you stuck. I also use specialized methods to help process painful experiences and reduce the intensity of past memories.

Blending these approaches allows us to create a holistic, personalized path toward emotional balance, resilience, and empowered transformation—helping you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself.

How we can help

I am here to support you when you are ready to understand your emotional and behavioral impact on your life and break patterns that have resulted in symptoms of depression, anxiety, chronic pain, PTSD.

Depression

Many individuals experiencing depression report feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about how to regain stability. You are not alone in this experience. Clients often find that, with appropriate support, their symptoms become more manageable and their sense of agency begins to return.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors so you can create meaningful change in your daily life. By identifying unhelpful patterns and learning practical skills to shift them, CBT supports greater emotional balance, improved coping, and a stronger sense of confidence and control. Many people find that CBT helps reduce anxiety, lift mood, and build long‑term resilience—making it a powerful, evidence‑based approach for healing and growth.

Anxiety

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a gentle, body‑based approach that helps reduce anxiety by restoring a sense of safety and regulation in the nervous system. At Attune Counseling, SE supports clients in noticing the physical sensations that accompany anxiety and gradually releasing the tension, overwhelm, and stored survival responses that keep the body on high alert. Through slow, mindful pacing and grounding techniques, clients learn to track their internal experience, build resilience, and reconnect with a calmer, more regulated state. SE empowers individuals to move out of chronic anxiety patterns and into a steadier sense of presence and ease.

Trauma

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a highly effective, evidence‑based therapy for healing trauma. At Attune Counseling, EMDR helps clients process distressing memories that remain “stuck” in the nervous system, reducing the emotional intensity and physical activation tied to past experiences. Through guided bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements or tapping—clients are able to safely revisit traumatic material while building new, more adaptive connections in the brain. Over time, the memories lose their overwhelming charge, allowing clients to feel more grounded, empowered, and in control of their lives. EMDR supports deep, lasting healing and helps individuals move forward with greater clarity and resilience.

Post‑Traumatic Stress (PTSD)

Therapy offers a safe, structured space to heal from the impact of trauma. For clients living with PTSD, it helps reduce overwhelming symptoms, calm the nervous system, and gently process memories that feel “stuck.” Through approaches like EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and other evidence‑based modalities, therapy supports clients in understanding their triggers, rebuilding a sense of safety, and strengthening their ability to navigate daily life. Over time, clients often experience fewer intrusive thoughts, improved emotional regulation, and a renewed sense of empowerment and connection. Therapy provides a path toward feeling more grounded, in control, and supported as healing unfolds.

EMDR

EMDR is an evidence‑based therapeutic approach designed to help individuals process and resolve distressing or traumatic experiences.

EMDR incorporates bilateral stimulation—often through guided eye movements—to activate both sides of the brain. This process mirrors the way the brain organizes and processes information during REM sleep. By engaging this natural mechanism, EMDR helps the nervous system reprocess difficult experiences so they can be stored in a more adaptive, less distressing way. Many clients find that EMDR helps them understand and shift long‑held beliefs or emotional responses connected to past relational or developmental trauma.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness‑based therapy helps you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and respond to life with greater clarity and calm. By learning to notice your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without judgment, you begin to break free from old patterns that keep you feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Mindfulness supports the nervous system, reduces stress, and builds emotional resilience—allowing you to feel more grounded, present, and in control. Over time, many people experience improved mood, better focus, and a deeper sense of balance and self‑compassion.

Individual Therapy

Life can feel hard; therapy can help. Therapy provides a non- judgmental space to explore, reflect and gain insight into yourself. You get to decide how and when you make the changes that fit you best.
